What are some good places to eat at?

Tuesday, October 31, 2006

Man.... its been a while since I wrote on this and I feel like I'm in a good basketball mood so I decided to write B-ball profiles of people to see what I might see in them. I hope people enjoy this rather than take this as too harsh of criticism. I love criticism of my game especially when it comes from darren... always harsh and makes me tear. lol

So I'll start off with...
Cheng, Darren
Bio: Ht:5'9" Weight: 130lbs Pos:Sg,Sf
Recently came off of a good season with career point scored and pretty much all categories. Logging in major minutes D Cheng has been able to capitalize on opportunities given to him coming in clutch in many games. Previously thought of as a role player D Cheng has been able to step it up as a potential leader of the team warranting not only increased minutes but a starter role as well. Establishing himself as the leading scorer of the team D Cheng has proven himself to be one of the most valuable players on the team.

Strengths:
D Cheng shoots at a very high percentage at all areas on the court establishing himself as a very proficient scorer and flexible player. Being very humble D Cheng prefers to speak with his actions on the court rather than his words. In a close game last season D Cheng had the ability to step up his game and bail his team out of a pressure situation where he was able to calmly knock down free throws and protect the lead. Much is to be expected from his abilities and his recent progress in the offseason has led people to believe that he has a much more rounded out game being able to both attack the rim and shoot from the perimeter. Expect this player to become a threat every time he steps onto the court.

Weakness:
D Cheng has the best offensive capabilities of the team being a proficient scorer but his lack of a defensive presence has limited his leadership role and overall court presence. On a team that lacks a true defensive presence D Cheng has yet to be seen as a player capable of taking care of both ends. D Chengs lack of size also makes him prone to injuries which limits his ability to play defense. This coming season the team should expect to see more of a defensive presence from D Cheng who has shown some amazing spurts of defense in previous games.

Comparable to:
Tayshaun Prince, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Dirk Nowitzki, Austin Croshere, Reggie Miller, Luke Walton, Michael Redd, Mike Miller, Kyle Korver

Takasue, Ross
Bio: Ht: 5' 9" Weight 185lbs Pos: Sf, Pf, F
Probably the most consistent player on the team showing the most flexibility with a strong ability to score and the ability to board.  In the recent season Ross Takasue logged in starter minutes and performed better than the majority of the team giving them much needed boards and scrap points off of fast breaks.  Not the flashiest player on the team but one of the most reliable players to get the W.

Strengths:
Very good ability to board the ball on defense and transition into a fastbreak allowing a team to create early mismatches and easy points.  R Takasue is also relatively consistent scoring a relatively good amount of points every game contributing to the teams balance across the field.  His jump shots are also very fluent allowing him to consistently knock down 10 to 15 foot jumpers.  With the ability to consistently create his own shot R Takasue is one of the go-to players of the team.

Weaknesses:
No great weaknesses but there is still a lot of potential yet to be discovered.  With the ability to create his own shot R Takasue still hasn't developed his ability to create shots for teammates.  Although this doesn't particularly matter considering he guarantees points on the board, it is a slight scratch on his all-around game.  With his potential, the team should be looking for a little more aggression on offense and consistent effort to call for the ball and take over a large part of the scoring load.

Comparable to:
Luol Deng, Caron Butler, Hakim Warrick, Paul Pierce, Josh Childress, Corey Maggette, Desmond Mason

Ryoo, Suzy
Bio: Ht: 5' 5" Weight: "I prefer life" Pos: Water Girl, Towel Girl
Being the Water/Towel girl of the team S Ryoo has the ability to cheerfully hand players their basketball needs.  Strong with motivational speeches the team looks forward to see her presence on the sidelines.

Strengths:
Has the ability to dish out towels whenever necessary.  Her ability to push the button on the water fountain also makes her essential to the game.  As the biggest wild card of the team S Ryoo might be the most essential player in a losing game.  If the team is not able to consistently score and grab boards she might be needed to roundhouse kick the other team.  This would be the only way to guarantee the W.

Weaknesses:
None... if you really want to know I can put a note in your mailbox.
